Introduction to Feminist Queer Theory (Agnes Scott College)

Course Description:

This course will enhance students’ analytical reading and writing skills through an interdisciplinary study of cultural, historical, and sociological investigations of critical issues in LGBT and Queer Studies and activism. While the majority of the readings will focus on the United States, some readings will have a more global perspective. Additionally, though most work in Queer Theory focuses primarily on sexuality and secondarily on gender, this course uses an intersectional feminist lens that also takes into account race, class, ability, and region.
